Dexter Titles
This 2007 emmy award winning opening title sequence is from the American television drama series 'Dexter'. His morning routine shown in the title sequence has a deathlike twist to it. This is created by the use of macro close ups and garish contrasting colours. I believe the music plays an equally important part within this as the section at the beginning is reapeated to build up suspension and make the viewers feel on edge. Also the noises in the background (cuts, sizzles, drips) emphasise Dexters actions and movements and makes the whole sequence feel more realistic for the audience.
